Oluf rode fast towards Middenheim, taking a shortcut through the Drakwald Forrest. Middenheim must be warned of the forward Chaos Host decending on the Middle Mountains, a key resource for iron and silver. Not an ordinary host, but demons! What greed of the dwarves could have summoned this? Maybe men will be better of in full control of the mines.
In the next moment Olufs trail of thoughts were severed as a crossbow bolt imbedded itself in the forehead of his steed. Next instance Oluf was flying through the air! The world slowed around him for a moment as he sensed enemies all around. “Dark Elves! Here??”
Liriani grinned wickedly as the road warden came flying. She jumped forward, her cold blade ripping his throat before he ever hit the ground.
She licked blood from her lips and held up the Fjornirstone. “This is the key to the mountains and riches. We gut their keeps and stash their treasures in Carroburg. House Shar’La will soon be powerful enough to challenge the Witch King himself!” Her host cheered and praised Khaine.
Liriani knew well that dwarves and men were weakened by the war and that more than coin was hidden deep in the Dwarven Vaults.
Dwarf Rebellion at the Middle Mountains!!!
While Dark Elf and Demonic forces threatened each other and the mine, the dwarfs denied the Empire troops any ground to advance on the mines, gunning down men and demons alike. It was under this treachery that the Empire forces suddenly found themselves between a hostile dwarven gunline and the murderous dark elves of House Shar’La.
After a brutal 4 way battle where the Dwarves were assisted by Ogres, and where a Slann mage had joined with the demons and where a sinister necromancer helped out the dark elves, the stubborn dwarves were victorious and has now declared the mining operations as independent.
With the Empire in war in both the North and in Sylvania, there are simply no spare force to deal with such an uprising. Moreover, this conflict has tested the friendship between men and dwarves and on this account the test was failed. It is dark months ahead for the realm of men.
