The ship was back on quiet waters and the crew could begin to relax. It would seem they had weathered the storm, and with Mannan’s blessings, the trip to Marienburg would be calm.
“So… what’s your stories then?” The old captain handed out a small bowl of fish soup for each of the sorry survivors.
The party began to relate parts of the tale. How a witch hunter had gone mad, taken control of the Gravenfels company and the Bloodhound Marauders. Through the night the party had fled west with scouts closing in on them. They had joined up with a few mercenaries. But the night was full of sounds from blood hounds and other horrors.
It was some luck when they found the tipped over longboat by the shore. The weather had taken them past Dietershafen, where they had nearly been blasted to death by the imperial cannons. On the remains of the boat, they had been clinging to timber and hull. All mercenaries but one had drowned and it was not until finally this morning, they had been rescued by Captain Soren and his ship.
The Altdorf party would have to work hard for their free passage, but at least it would get them to Marienburg.
The Altdorf Band arrived safely in Marienburg and soon found themselves at the nearest tavern for some ale. After having recovered from their trip they discovered that Graf Siegfried von Saponatheim was in town. They soon arranged for a meeting with their patron.
The party exchanged news with Siegfried, and furthermore was requested to lay low in the remote village of Fauligmere. In particular they were asked to learn names and locations of rumored smugglers operating in the village, bypassing Marienburg taxes. Siegfried has requested not to expose their task, his name or disturb the smuggling operation.
Siegfried in turn has promised to take the heat off the Altdorf regarding their attention from Witch Hunter Captain Bernard Salvatore and the Reiksguard Field Marshal Antoni Sieber. Siegfried sponsored a horse for the party and will meet with them next in Ubersreik for their report.
The band soon located a medical facility for W. Verfullen and Doktor F. estus. Assuming the identity of Verfullen, the band took over consultations at the place. Several patients arrived with severe coughing and was diagnosed with Lung Rot.
Further investigation regarding one of the patients lead to the Bordello girl Violet. She seemed to know more than as such regarding the disease, but refused to elaborate further. At night the band stalked out the bordello, and tracked Violet to a warehouse where the Band soon charged in. Weapons and spells ready. A bloody combat began, numerous cultists tried to fend off the Altdorf Band but were cut down left and right by Ziegfried von Königsberg and Marcus Strauss. Entering the back room a horrible Beast of Nurgle mistook them for exciting playmates, and its slobbering attack severely damaged Marcus Strauss. After a fierce fight, it was Wolfgang Koommezzell who banished the demon with his powerful amethyst magic.
In the cellar a groups of Skaven Plague Priests and Doktor Festus were each urging Brother Maynard to attack the other. Maynard choose Festus as his target and Plague Priest Poxclaw the Red made his exit with his infernal book yelling “The Power is Mine! Council 13 will soon grovel-beg before my might!”
Donk, grabbed Maynard, and Doktor Festus almost stabbed him with a huge syringe containing who knows how many horrible plagues and poxes! Fortunately Shallya smiled on her disciple and the brother kept clear of the pointy end. Ziegfried charged in and disarmed the Doctor, and soon the Altdorf Band gained the upper hand.
It was Brother Maynard who smashed Festus’ skull, ending his trail of plagues throughout the empire!

There will be one night of recovery to throw off diseases and injuries. Disease recovery is an Average (2) Resilience check
Getting a good nights sleep, and using the medical facility under Maynard’s care will provide 3 Fortune Dice on that roll.
Furthermore Maynard will get an expertise dice on his next roll, due to his blessing at the Shallyan temple.
PROFIT or REPUTATION
Black caps of Marienburg quickly arrives to the warehouse of slaughter, but soon realize the party’s heroic deeds for the city.
Back at the medical facility, the party has two basic options.
Option 1: Profit
You can either crate up what you can get away with for value of 4 gold total if sold in another city. This greatly upsetting Cornelius and of course making powerful enemies in Marienburg
Option 2: Reputation
You can choose the close the medical facility with the help of Cornelius in the most respectable way. This will be enough to satisfy the creditors and leave you on good standing within Marienburg in general.
